Arrival of the palazzo



Yesterday was a red-letter day. My retirement home arrived on site. This portion was manufactured on an assembly line indoors where quality control is considerably better than it would have been if it had been built on site. Yes, it is a "stick-built" structure.

The structure is set on the site "sideways". This profile shows the main entrance area. The car port and RV port will be placed at right angles to this profile. (refer to the sketch).

2 Weeks To Go

In two weeks; I will put the wraps on a career in information technology that has spanned 49 years. When I started the term "information technology" did not exist in anyone's lexicon. Most digital wristwatches have more computing power than the astronauts had on the way to the moon.

Believe it or not (this isn't Ripley's) on Friday (20 Dec) there will be a structure on this site. It will be trucked (literally) in from Phoenix.
